Overview
The Remodeling Site Lead plays a key role in supporting smooth, efficient jobsite operations
across a variety of remodeling projects. This position blends hands-on work — including finish
carpentry, light drywall and paint, punch list repairs, and tile touchups — with light coordination
duties. The Site Lead helps prepare jobsites, directs day-to-day efforts by subcontractors and
installers, documents site activity, and steps in across trades to keep momentum. Ideal for a
well-rounded carpenter or finisher with strong situational awareness and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Jobsite Execution & Support
- Perform hands-on rough and finish carpentry, including framing, base trim, shelving &
vanities. - Complete small drywall repairs, paint touchups, and patching as needed throughout
project phases - Tackle punch list work efficiently to help close out jobs with quality and professionalism
- Perform individual tile replacements and grout/silicone touchups as needed
- Support jobsite readiness through delivery coordination, layout, protection, and staging.
- Assist with closeout, including final cleanup and last-minute adjustments
Field Coordination
- Provide day-to-day direction to installers, laborers, and subcontractors on active jobsites
- Communicate jobsite priorities clearly to the field and escalate issues to the project
manager as needed - Monitor adherence to plans, scopes, and finish standards
Documentation & Communication - Take daily jobsite photos and maintain a log of conditions, progress, and concerns
- Contribute to daily communication between field and office staff
- Document site status clearly for internal updates and client-facing reports as needed
Gap Filling & Flexibility - Step in across tasks and trades to reduce downtime, fill in gaps, or resolve minor issues
without delay - Handle specialty or small-scope scopes that help streamline the work of others
Client & Team Interaction
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, owners, and
tenants - Coordinate with office staff and project managers to report progress, flag issues, and
request needed materials or support
Qualifications - 3+ years experience in carpentry, residential remodeling, or related fieldwork
- Proficiency in finish carpentry, drywall patching, interior painting, and minor tile/grout
repairs - Strong working knowledge of jobsite processes and trade sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret basic plans, specs, and scopes of work
- Self-motivated, organized, and communicative
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work on active residential or commercial remodel sites
Preferred Skills - Light supervisory or crew leadership experience
- Familiarity with digital project management tools or apps
