City Colleges of Chicago and Citigroup Investment Banking Chicago office have partnered to create an apprenticeship Program for CCC students. Students will have an opportunity through this apprenticeship to work along side Investment bankers from one of the leading banks on Wall Street. This unique opportunity will provide a skill-set transferable across multiple businesses as you start to prep for your future career!

Application Deadline is March 15, 2023.

Start Date is June 2023 to April 2024

Location: Hybrid

Open to CCC Harold Washing Students who are planning to transfer to a 4-year.

Eligibility:

  • Students intending to matriculate at a 4-year institution following graduation from CCC
  • High achieving, underrepresented minority students in their second year at CCC
  • Students interested in a career in finance

Compensation and Benefits for Apprentices:

  • Compensation – $25 per hour, 20 hours a week

Job Description

Want to work in your field and train on the job? Join our 12-24 month Apprenticeship Program where you will receive on-the-job training, career guidance, and one-on-one mentorship – all while attending school! Allstate will also provide tuition assistance, benefits, competitive wages, and hands-on training in the field of Treasury. This is a remote position. 

The program will start August 2022.

As a Treasury Associate Apprentice, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Consolidating and entering wires in the Treasury workstation with a proper degree of timeliness and accuracy to allow the short-term traders to make investment decisions.
  • Prepare wire activity reports and analysis to optimize wire activity and cash flow activity
  • Displays sound administration skills including documentation, follow up and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Capable of performing mission critical related tasks during business resumption events.
  • Provide optimal customer support to internal clients, colleagues and external financial service partners
  • Assisting with team projects
  • Implementing process improvements
  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities and projects
  • Working collaboratively within the team and across the department

Job Qualifications

  • Pursuing an associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and can also work around class schedule
  • Passion for Finance or Banking
  • Consistent track record of strong academic performance
  • Critical Thinking, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Experience or coursework in finance or banking

Compensation Data

As an Apprentice, you will work between 20-30 hours per week at a rate of $24.00/hour. Tuition Reimbursement and Benefits are available.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
