Summary

The Apprentice – Training and Communications Business Analyst will act as the liaison between the business units/client, technology teams and support teams. The individual will work directly with our clients to understand their business/communication/training needs. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring that deliverables meet client standards and expectations. The successful candidate will work on multiple tasks simultaneously and be a team player. The Apprentice – Training and Communications Business Analyst will report to the Training Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Verbal and Written Communication
  • Help develop, prepare, deliver, and evaluate stakeholder interactions and adjust the Communications and Engagement Plan as needed.
  • Help develop communication materials
  • Participate in meetings with the Leads, SME’s, client management and vendor personnel
  • Assess, document, and communicate client practices
  • Participate in business function analysis and process mapping
  • Develop training needs analysis.
  • Develop training curriculum.
  • Work with development teams on design, build, show activities with a focus on change management activities/impacts.
  • Help prepare Training Strategy and Plan Definition
  • Help Design, develop, deploy, and evaluate the training support materials
  • Understanding of Business Process designs and considerations for role impacts
  • Support project deployment activities and post-deployment review to ensure successful change adoption
  • Help define the to-be skills/knowledge requirements for the affected workforce
  • Help design and conduct Skills Assessment to measure the baseline skills of the affected workforce, and create a plan to close the gap between current and required skills

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or relatable professional experience.
  • Communication, training, change management activities experience a plus.
  • Workshops, defining requirements; mapping processes; developing functional design documents, and communication materials experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Computer Based Training Development Tools (i.e. Adobe Captivate / Camtasia) is a plus
  • Ability to work in the field with customers
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft based applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)
  • Possess analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • Possess oral and written communication
  • A team player with the willingness to assist coworkers on other projects as required
  • Understanding of the business analysis and project management methods

Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring desktop workstations and laptops are set up with the correct software and antivirus. The position will require hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines, and troubleshooting. It is important that this person is organized and should have the ability to work both independently and as a team member. Actual computer work can vary from troubleshooting (hardware/software), rebuilds, new builds, and help with verification.

This position will report to the Field Services Manager.

Anticipated Start Date:  Currently hiring – Flexible hours around school schedule

Responsibilities

  • Ability to disconnect and install desktop workstations and laptops
  • Assist in deploying desktop workstations and laptops throughout the organization (when needed)
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may come up related to deploying new computers
  • Perform backups and restore data and cover all areas of the disaster recovery plan
  • Replace or migrate data on new or old computers
  • Support MS Office products O365 applications, and other software applications
  • Ensure workstations and laptops are configured as per the requirements of the business

Requirements

  • 0-6 months of experience setting up and disconnecting laptops and desktops or an interest in pursuing a career in IT
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office products and Office 365 applications
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Enrolled or recently graduated from one of the City Colleges of Chicago or a local Chicago college
  • Able to pass a standard background check
  • Has the ability to work in downtown Chicago and on the weekends when needed

About This Role

The User Experience Research & Innovation (UXR&I) Apprentice supports user research to help teams deeply understand the needs, behaviors, expectations, and motivations of users, guiding the design and development of a diverse set of digital products, software applications, and end-to-end experiences. As a research apprentice, you’ll support the research team in executing high quality data collection that in turn helps our interdisciplinary teams of Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and others better understand the user, their challenges and the solutions that best meet their needs. You’ll collaborate with teammates to use human-centered design thinking methods to tackle challenging business and customer problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn about and become increasingly independent by turning stakeholder needs into research questions and hypotheses.
  • Support more senior UX researchers in conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, heuristic reviews, usability testing, etc.
  • Analyze results and assist in developing consumable, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Practice a lean research mindset and build strong partnerships with cross-functional team members, making research effective and impactful within rapid product development processes.
  • Be an advocate for users, and help others do the same by bringing them into research process.
  • Work with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to articulate the role of research and advocate for evidence-based design throughout product development.
  • Continuously learn new skills and capabilities by monitoring consumer trends, attending workshops and being mentored in UX design thinking methodologies.

Job Qualifications

  • Working toward a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Science, or related field.
  • Able to execute tasks independently by following directions, asking for clarification, responding to feedback, and working with deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to quickly build rapport, establish credibility, and work collaboratively with peers, managers and stakeholders across disciplines and levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Compensation Data

As an Apprentice, you will work between 20-30 hours per week at a rate of $27.21/hour.  Tuition Reimbursement and Benefits are available.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Control Data Team of our Operations Department is essential to accurate maintenance, oversight and integrity of firmwide client, product, and street data.  The Control Data Apprentice will be involved with data entry alongside the improvement and streamlining of tasks. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of updated data, and  providing accurate data services for stakeholders and clients. All tasks that are essential to the operations of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Manages data input obligations with precision and awareness, working with the business to a substantial degree; protecting the firm from exposure to operational and reputational risk.

·       Prioritizes and independently completes product, client, and street data tasks to ensure proper flow through downstream systems and processes.

·       Collaborates with other teams and departments to examine root cause and resolve data inaccuracies while being mindful of the impact on the firm as well as its clients.

·      Understands the local and global data environments and partners with local and global data managers as data stewards.

·       Assesses current state and organizes workload to ensure all high risk functions are completed at the appropriate level of focus and attention to details. Pivots when necessary to ensure meeting of key deliverables. Manages within tight timeframes

·       Applies a conservative risk approach and exhibits an awareness of the operational risk framework

·       Exercises independent judgement and discretion to identify and resolve issues in advance of task deadlines,  and escalates issues as appropriate.

·       Uses independent judgment and discretion to identify system irregularities and provide prompt notification to appropriate parties. Failure to communicate anomalies could result in significant cost/risk exposure due to unexpected client impact or late reporting in a ‘zero tolerance’ regulatory environment

Position Summary: The MPF Operations and Support Apprentice will assist PFIs (Participating Financial Institutions) and the Federal Home Loan Banks in the performance of mortgage pricing and executing mortgage-related financial transactions.  He/she will assist with a wide variety of important functions including providing guidance to our PFIs regarding guidelines, performing research, compiling and analyzing mortgage data for reports, performing rate distribution communications and reconciling daily transactions, accounts, and exceptions.  The targeted Service Center Position at the end of the Apprentice program will be MPF Operations and Support Specialist.

Anticipated Start Date:  January 10, 2022

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

·       Assist with the execution of mortgage related financial transactions and mortgage pricing

·       Act as a liaison between internal departments and external business partners for the support of products and the development of financial institution relationships

·       Apply origination, underwriting, servicing, and Mortgage Banking knowledge to provide resolution to questions and issues that arise with external business partners or internal parties

·       Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of transactions, accounts, and exceptions

·       Complete ongoing mortgage industry and technical skill training

·       Acquire and maintain the foundational skills needed to perform the required Service Center responsibilities
