Education requirements:
- Working toward an Accounting/Finance/Business related AAS degree at City Colleges of Chicago
- The ideal candidate graduates in May 2025

Job Summary:
As a crucial member of our Accounting Operations team, the analyst will play a pivotal role in performing accounting, operational and financial close related activities including interacting with global partners. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and hands-on experience in an innovative and collaborative work environment.
Apprentice can also expect to:
- Accounting Operations table-stakes

- Perform accounting, operational and financial close related activities requiring an understanding of general accounting principles and may include but are not limited to preparing journal entries, checking supporting entries, daily accounts payable balancing, account reconciliations, and/or account reporting analysis.

- Foster a collaborative and transparent team culture by promoting open communication and information sharing
- Special Projects

- Assist in current finance special projects, such as financial system testing efforts, compliance audits both internal and external, and new technology initiatives.

- Actively participate in the build out of the Center of Excellence for bank and other ledger account reconciliations
- Continuous Improvement

- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and delivery capabilities.

- Identify and address impediments to the team’s progress and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Have at least one academic year left at City Colleges of Chicago
- Earn passing grades (of a C or higher) in coursework
- Analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
